UCBNE Alum Tomi Akindele Receives Presidential Early-Career Award

Last month, UCBNE PhD alum Tomi Akindele was one of nearly 400 scientists and engineers to receive President Biden’s Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). This award aims to recognize early career scientists and engineers who “show exceptional potential for leadership at the frontiers of scientific knowledge during the twenty-first century”. Akindele has been recognized for her pioneering research at the intersection of nonproliferation and particle physics.
