Students recognized for prestigious fellowships and awards

Huge congratulations to our Nuclear Engineering students on their incredible achievement!

We’re proud to celebrate Omar Peña, Julia Gottlieb, and Alessandro Ingegno for earning prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowships.

We also want to recognize additional outstanding achievements: Erica Garcia Badaracco has received an NSF GRFP and a DOE Laboratory Residency Graduate Fellowship, and David Cerny has been awarded the prestigious Rickover Fellowship.

Their hard work, curiosity, and dedication to advancing nuclear science truly reflect the strength of our department. We’re excited to see all they accomplish next—congratulations again! 🎉
