Advanced Fuels Campaign Holds 2024 Annual Review Meeting at UC Berkeley

The Advanced Fuels Campaign (AFC) held its FY24 Annual Review Meeting at UC Berkeley December 2nd – 6th where over 170 participants from DOE-HQ, national laboratories, industry, and universities were in attendance. AFC presented reports, and tours of UC Berkeley laboratories and Kairos Power were given.

Highlights include:

  • Over 45 presentations detailing AFC milestones and accomplishments in FY24.
  • Over 40 posters featured at the poster session showcasing NEUP awarded projects and early career researchers’ AFC projects.
  • A panel session featuring Next Generation Fuels industry leaders from Oklo, X-energy, Kairos Power, TerraPower, and Westinghouse discussed needs, economics, and the state of post-demonstration technology.
